BOSE's new QuietComfort & QuietComfort Ultra

BOSE just released two new headphones, the "QuietComfort" which is superseding the "QuietComfort 45" and the "QuietComfort Ultra" which is superseding the 700. QuietComfort:We have received and tested the new QuietComfort that is replacing the QC45.  The new headphone is physically identical to the QC45 and our current product that fits the QC45 also fits and functions with the new QCs.  The only changes appear to be a 2 hour longer battery life and more EQ settings, otherwise, it is identical to the QC45, warts and all. Headphones have changed and many modern headphones have become "smart".  Today's headphones include many new features including pass through, touch control, and automatic battery-life and sound protection. Introducing HARMONY for the Sony WH-1000XM5

Now all HARMONY products are compatible with the new Sony WH-1000XM5 high end consumer headphones. These new Sony headphones are an excellent product and our new favorite headphone in our shop.  They are well adapted to the cockpit with excellent noise attenuation.  They also have a bunch of cool features and are the latest in greatest in modern headphones.

TSO Certification Update, July 2022

The TSO certification of our product is on hold.  Currently, we are not in a position to invest in what is an extremely costly and labor intensive process.  My first priority is the health of the business, which is the hand that keeps getting forced.  A TSO certification is meaningless if the company goes under. QC45 Echo Issue

We have received reports of customers hearing an "echo" in their sidetone audio (hearing your own voice in the headset).  To date, the issue seems to affect about 10% of our customers with the QC45. After extensive testing and questioning of those who have experienced the issue, we have determined the issue is being caused by the Active Noise Reduction (ANR) of the QC45 conflicting with the sidetone provided by the aircraft.
